Since 2007, we have
been involved in educating and feeding the children of Haiti. We have partnered with a school in Port Au Prince. Institution
Mixte Amour en Action – “School of Love
in Action” Good Shepherd Christian
School is overseen by Pastor Jerome
and his wife. The school has over 100
children enrolled and 13 employees.
The needs for the school are great and we are working with Missions Of Love- Haiti to raise support and awareness. Many of the children are orphans and they live in the area near the school either at an orphanage or with relatives. The relatives are not charged a fee for the children to attend school. Only families that can pay are encouraged to help with the cost of the school. They do not turn a child away if they cannot pay for the education.
We have been in the school and have met the teachers. They love the students and also love the Lord. They are dedicated to their work, even if they aren’t paid a salary each month. The budget costs for the school are approximately $850.00 per month. Pastor Jerome and his wife are not on the payroll of the school. The feeding program is in place and the cost is $1000.00 per month. The food is a hot meal that is served to the children and teachers. When there is no money for the feeding program, Pastor Jerome will buy bread and juice for the children so that they will have something to eat.

This summer, we sent
donated backpacks, school supplies, food and dishes to Pastor Jerome. The current need is the monthly budget costs
and the feeding program. The costs can
be divided among businesses or families.
All donations are tax deductible.
The money is sent the first week of the month through Western Union. Missions of Love- Haiti directors Pastor Anderson Higgins and his wife Anita collect the money and send it to Haiti. NO administrative costs are extracted from the donations.
