The Scriptures mandate that we concern ourselves with those in our society who are the most "defenseless" of all, those precious children who have been abandoned by their parents due to death, or whatever cause.
Every face tells a story. I don't think that I knew any orphans before I went to Haiti, now I know 50 or more and I'm the mother to a "fatherless" child. God changed me when He took me to Haiti...now I want to be a part of helping change the life of an orphan.
