Michael spoke about the most recent Haiti trip this past Sunday. He had the opportunity to share with his home church in Bluefield, VA. Many of the members responded to a call that his parents put out for supplies and donations before the Feb. trip. It was so awesome to share with them what their money bought and to show them how the supplies were used and left behind for future clinics.
Michael and I decided to take any monies that are donated and to keep them in the security box at the bank so that when the opportunity for the next trip arises...we'll be READY to go!
I have felt so blessed over the past couple of months because friends will approach us with money or will send a check in the mail...they say they know that their money will make it into Haiti and they know it will be used for the purpose that they gave it for. That just thrills my heart to be used by God to help both the giver and Haiti.
