Thursday afternoon Michael came home from work and late in the evening started feeling bad. Cough, achy body, cold chills...Friday I started with it and yesterday Leanna was showing signs of the same thing. Three down and two to go!
The amount of medicine that this virus has made us consume is about average for an American. As I was taking my cold and cough medicine to stop the insane coughing spells...I thought what if I didn't have access to this medicine. It was only $3 for the OTC miracle elixir and yet some people don't even have access to the medicine much less the money to buy it.
I was humbled and said a prayer for my Haitian brothers and sisters who have seen such destruction and must see more before their country can begin to heal. All of the buildings in PAP much be destroyed before the rebuilding effort can take place. That means more people without homes. When the earthquake first hit I told Michael, I can't imaging having next to nothing as far as property goes and then to lose what little I did have.
May God keep Haiti in the forethought of our minds and in our hearts!
