My Kids Feeding Kids - A Lesson In Giving Back

On May 12, 2008 this link was posted to www.cabaretkids.blogspot.com...the children at the orphanage are featured on this broadcast. Michael researched the group and found that there was a food distribution warehouse near his hometown, in Princeton, WV. It was neat to know that people were helping Haiti and it was so good to know that "our kids" in Haiti benefited from it.

They highlight children from the Children's Home that was the "base camp" for the medical team.

January 2010 - After the earthquake, lots of school groups and civic groups wanted to help Haiti. Michael's dad, Assistant Superintendent
of schools for Princeton was contacted by this group. They wanted to arrange for school kids to help pack food.
That weekend we were in WV and our children were able to go with Nana and PawPaw to pack food for Haiti.

It was a wonderful experience for them. I was so moved to know that Clifford was helping his own country in this way. He's too young to understand but as his mom, I was so proud that he had the opportunity to give back to a feeding program that had provided food for him while he lived at the orphanage.

A Mud Pie that was given to the team on this trip.
