One of my favorite things to do in Haiti is to give out the sponsor gifts to the children at the school and children's home...the smiles that light up their faces are...priceless!!!
I remember a couple of years ago when a student at the school opened his bag of gifts and it was full of wooden cars that a Men's Sunday school class had sent to the child.
It is $50 per month to sponsor a child. A group of friends, children, coworkers or a Sunday School Class can pool resources and change the life of a child. Gifts can be sent to JBA Haiti at any time - and when a team goes to Haiti...they will deliver them to the child and take pictures! You could even go to meet your sponsored child by joining a mission team.
The children love small toys, pencils and paper, babies and trucks and the list goes on and on...
Strong, small durable toys are great ideas for the kids. Clothing and shoes are a blessing to children who don't have much at all.
It is so wonderful that your $50 provides for the child to go to school and have books. That's $1.67 per day!!!
