Clifford says: "Daddy go to Haiti to help people in infnage!" I just got a call from Michael he is safe and sound. I just read a post from the wife of one of the doctors he indicated to her that it was overwhelming...Leo told his wife "the road trip was long and the "landscaping" was unbelievable... he drove by PAP and mention there was a lot of bodies on the side walk, LOTs of destruction..."
I couldn't help but think these guys see death pretty regularly and with the exception of a bad car wreck or a kid with cancer...most of the time I think we see death as clean and pretty and neatly tucked away in a box when life is over. My heart aches for these people who were somebody to somebody!
For a couple of months now Michael has been looking at airplanes, not to buy (right now) but to just know more about them. He wasn't sure where the sudden interest came from but in preparing for this trip when he was talking to the pilots he appeared very knowledgeable about airplanes. A God Thing! We have been crazy for a year trying to figure out a way for us to minister in Haiti. It's in our blood! I feel like this is an open door to something more. On Sunday Michael is going to check out a hospital for a dr here in SC it's a few minutes by plane from Jacmel...I'm hoping that is another open door to ministering in Haiti. we'll just have to see!
